Cold Forming Progressive Die

Forming grooves, bosses, steps, countersunk holes, embossing and other processes on metal parts usually require CNC machining or turning, which is costly and difficult to mass produce. Through process research, NEWSKY has been able to use progressive die to achieve, so that the cost is greatly reduced, but also the structural strength of the product has been greatly improved.

In the case shown on the left, the aluminum alloy with a thickness of 5mm is made into a groove with an outer diameter of 32mm and an inner diameter of 18mm, with a depth of 3.0mm, no steps are allowed on the back, and the flatness is below 0.2mm。Through finite element analysis, we accurately calculated the forming force, and used 800T and progressive die to complete the research and development of the product, and the size fully met the requirements of the drawing.

Power Battery Cover Plate

This is the cover on the power battery of new energy vehicles, the product requires flatness 0.05, the shape length and width tolerance of ±0.02mm, the surface of the product has many convex hull and sink holes, and the accuracy of the holes is also very high. NEWSKY uses Cold forming progressive die technology to achieve continuous production of products to meet customer quality and delivery requirements.

  • The product in the left picture has many convex hull, sinking hole and other processes, and the overall size is not allowed to have connecting material edge, and the outline has C0.5 chamfer, and the length and width tolerance is required to be within ±0.02mm.
